Are group classes included in membership?
Yes — the vast majority of classes are included at no extra cost for all members. Occasionally a specialist class brought in by an external instructor may have a supplementary charge; this will always be made clear in advance. We love member suggestions too — talk to the fitness team if there's a class you'd like to see on the timetable.
Can I try the gym before joining?
We don't offer trial sessions, but we warmly welcome you to come in for a personal tour of the facilities — no commitment required. Contact us to arrange a visit and we'll walk you through everything.
Can I upgrade or change my membership type?
Absolutely. Your membership can be adjusted any time your circumstances change — switching from off-peak to full access, moving to an active retired category at 60, returning to student membership, and more. Just speak to the membership team and we'll sort it for you.
How do I qualify for corporate membership?
Corporate rates are available for groups of 5 or more employees from the same company. You'll need to provide some identification from your employer. Check with the membership office to see if your company is already on our scheme — or to set one up.
Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
Yes — all new members receive a free fitness assessment and a personalised training programme. Our staff will demonstrate how to use the equipment safely and make sure you feel confident from day one.
