Private Swim Lessons

Swim Buddies is a unique ‘Learn to Swim Programme’ designed for children from the age of 3 years to 12 years. Swim Buddies was developed by Sarah Lynch and is delivered by her and her team of highly qualified and experienced instructors. Swim Buddies swimming lessons are carried out on either an individual 1:1  basis or on a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of swimmer to instructor. This ensures an effective learning environment where the instructor is completely concentrated on the pupil/pupils for the duration of the lesson. The instructor builds a strong relationship with their swimmers to ensure they can teach them at a level and pace that suit’s each child’s needs. Swim Buddies currently operates out of Active 24 Fitness  in the Connacht Hotel.

Swim Buddies offers children the opportunity to learn to swim in a safe, fun and friendly environment. The focus of each lesson is based on teaching children to love the water while being safe in and around it through developing a wide range of aquatic skills. The fundamentals of swimming are paramount to each swimmer no matter what age or level. Sarah is passionate about ensuring that all children have a fun enjoyable experience during their Swim Buddies swimming lessons.

Swim buddies is dedicated to ensuring that your child or children receive the best and most enjoyable experience from their swimming lessons. The main focus of Swim Buddies is to pass on a lifelong skill. Parents must understand that swimming and becoming competent in and around water has to happen over a prolonged period of time. All of us learn in different ways and at a different pace. Consistency and patience are two main components to ensuring a child learns in the correct way. It is a common occurrence that children will reach a plateau in performance through their learn-to-swim journey and this can happen at any level and will differ from person to person.
